Amends Section 43-21-605 to raise the minimum age for commitment to state training school from ten (10) years to twelve (12) years old.

Prohibits children under age twelve (12) from being held in secure detention as a disposition, except when the child committed or attempted to commit a crime causing serious bodily injury or arson.

Maintains requirement that only children adjudicated delinquent for felonies may be committed to the training school.

Effective July 1, 2015.
