Appropriates $19,771,040.00 from the State General Fund for salaries, travel expenses, and office expenses of district attorneys, assistant district attorneys, and criminal investigators for fiscal year 2016 (July 1, 2015 - June 30, 2016).

Appropriates $5,225,414.00 from the State Prosecutor Compensation Fund for assistant district attorney salaries as authorized under Mississippi Code Section 25-31-5(1).

Designates $1,234,000.00 of the appropriated funds for district attorney office expenses under Mississippi Code Section 25-31-8.

Prohibits use of appropriated funds to reimburse district attorneys or staff for taxable meals within their geographical districts.

Provides funding for one full-time legal assistant position in the Sixth Circuit Court District and requires district attorneys to maintain accounting records and submit five-year strategic plans.
