Amends Section 5-8-13 of the Mississippi Code to add a four-year post-service lobbying restriction for former legislators.

Former members of the Legislature are prohibited from engaging in any activity or performing any function requiring registration as a lobbyist for four years after their term expires.

Existing lobbyist prohibitions remain in effect, including restrictions on success-based compensation, false statements to officials, and conflicts of interest.

Takes effect July 1, 2015.
