Creates a new Death Benefits Trust Fund managed by the Department of Public Safety to provide $100,000 payments to beneficiaries of directors, assistant directors of local emergency management organizations, and coroners killed in the line of duty.

Covers deaths resulting from accidental or intentional killing or bodily injury occurring during official duties, excluding suicides and self-inflicted injuries.

Establishes beneficiary payment hierarchy: designated beneficiary if named in writing; otherwise surviving children and spouse in equal shares; then parents; or finally the covered individual's estate.

Funds the trust through legislative appropriations, donations, contributions, gifts, or other sources, with unexpended amounts retained and investment earnings credited to the fund.

Takes effect July 1, 2015, with death benefits paid in addition to workers' compensation or pension benefits and exempt from creditor claims.
