Amends Section 43-13-115, Mississippi Code of 1972, to expand Medicaid eligibility to individuals under 65 years of age who are not pregnant, not enrolled in Medicare, and have income not exceeding 133% of the federal poverty level.

Eligible individuals under the new category (paragraph 28) receive benchmark coverage or benchmark equivalent coverage as defined in the federal Social Security Act.

The Division of Medicaid determines eligibility for individuals covered under this expansion and is responsible for redetermining eligibility at intervals required by federal law.

The expansion implements provisions authorized under the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

The act takes effect July 1, 2015.
