Authorizes physicians and licensed health care providers to prescribe opioid antagonists to persons at risk of overdose or to family members, friends, or others positioned to assist them.

Permits pharmacists to dispense opioid antagonists under valid prescriptions and allows any person acting in good faith with reasonable care to administer the antagonist to someone experiencing an opioid-related overdose.

Grants immunity from civil, criminal, and professional licensing liability for practitioners, pharmacists, emergency medical technicians, and laypersons who prescribe, dispense, or administer opioid antagonists in accordance with this act.

Creates the Mississippi Medical Emergency Good Samaritan Act, providing immunity from arrest or prosecution for drug violations if evidence of the violation results from seeking or receiving medical treatment for a drug overdose.

Takes effect July 1, 2015.
