Increases maximum acreage for oyster bottom leases from 100 acres to 500 acres per individual, corporation, partnership, or association.

Extends initial lease term from one year to five years, with the right to renew for additional five-year periods without a total year limitation (removes the previous 25-year maximum).

Removes the requirement for the Commission to give 15 days' public notice before leasing areas.

Removes the requirement that applicants propose a price for the lease in their application.

Takes effect July 1, 2015.
