Extends from six (6) months to twelve (12) months the time period after initial employment during which marine enforcement officers must complete required law enforcement training to continue receiving salary.

Requires enforcement officers to attend training at the Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers' Training Academy or approved program and successfully complete any qualification examinations within the twelve-month period.

Enforcement officers who fail to attend the academy or comply with qualifications and examinations within twelve months will not be entitled to salary payment after that period.

Applies to enforcement officers appointed by the executive director of the Department of Marine Resources to enforce saltwater aquatic life protection and seafood laws.

Takes effect July 1, 2015.
