Amends Section 23-15-213 of Mississippi Code to revise election commissioner regulations for county elections.

Removes requirement that election commissioner candidates declare their party affiliation in writing to the board of supervisors for display on the official ballot.

Maintains existing provisions requiring candidates to file a petition signed by at least 50 qualified electors from their supervisor district by 5:00 p.m. on the first Monday in June.

Preserves requirement that election commissioners must receive a majority of votes cast to be elected, with a runoff election held three weeks later if no candidate achieves a majority in the first election.

Effective date: July 1, 2015.
