Amends Mississippi Code Section 41-61-59 to establish a population-based salary scale for chief county medical examiners and chief county medical examiner investigators.

Salary ranges from $14,400 annually for counties with 8,000 or fewer residents to $55,559 for counties exceeding 200,000 residents, with ten intermediate tiers based on population brackets.

Salaries determined by the most recent federal decennial census, with a floor ensuring no chief medical examiner receives less than the salary tier corresponding to the 2010 census population.

Chief county medical examiners must provide 24-hour daily available death investigators and maintain records of all death investigations for at least five years as part of compensation.

Effective July 1, 2015.
