Acknowledges June 5, 2015, as "O'Keefe Funeral Homes Day" to commemorate the 150th anniversary of O'Keefe Funeral Homes on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Recognizes that Edward "Ned" O'Keefe established the first funeral service business in Ocean Springs in 1865 by expanding his livery service to include funeral and mortuary services.

Notes that O'Keefe Funeral Homes has grown to operate six locations across the Mississippi Gulf Coast (Ocean Springs, Biloxi, Gulfport, and Vancleave) and controls the state's largest funeral insurance business.

Commends the O'Keefe family for 150 years of community involvement, including support for needy children, disabled citizens, and philanthropic contributions to museums such as the Ohr-O'Keefe Museum in Biloxi and the Walter Anderson Museum in Ocean Springs.

Directs that copies of the resolution be furnished to Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home, Inc., the Governor, Secretary of State, and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
