Mourns the loss and commemorates the life and legacy of Mr. Terry William Slaughter, who passed away after a life of service to his community and church in Vicksburg, Mississippi.

Recognizes Mr. Slaughter's 30 years of employment with Vicksburg Concrete Company and his retirement in August 1997, as well as his receipt of the Key to the City of Vicksburg from Mayor Robert M. Walker.

Honors his lifelong commitment to Gospel Temple Missionary Baptist Church, where he served faithfully in the Usher, Deacon, and Sunday School Ministries since 1948.

Extends deepest sympathy to his surviving family members, including two sons, five daughters, 25 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Directs that copies of this resolution be provided to Mr. Slaughter's family and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
