Commends Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics Agent Marc Lee Whatley, Sr., who died in the line of duty on August 20, 1998, while pursuing a suspected drug violator that resulted in a fatal vehicle accident on Highway 15 in Jones County.

Agent Whatley was hired by the MBN on October 1, 1996, and was assigned to the Meridian District Office as a state narcotics officer.

Designates a segment of Mississippi Highway 15 in Jones County, beginning at its intersection with Trace Road and extending northerly to its intersection with Mississippi Highway 537, as the "Marc Lee Whatley Memorial Highway."

Expresses deepest sympathy to Agent Whatley's survivors: wife Lila Whatley, son Marc Lee Whatley Jr., daughter Lauren Whatley, and other relatives and friends.

Directs copies of the resolution be furnished to the Whatley family, Jones County Board of Supervisors, and Capitol Press Corps.
