Commends Mr. Calvin Walker for 45 years of service as Executive Director of the Jackson Boys Club from 1948 to 1993, during which he inspired young people from disadvantaged circumstances to become productive citizens.

Recognizes Walker's military service in the United States Air Force and his graduation from Mississippi College in 1951 with a business degree.

Acknowledges Walker's expansion of the Jackson Boys Club, including opening a Capitol Street location in 1959 with recreational facilities and establishing a 320-acre summer camping program in Hazlehurst, Mississippi in 1961.

Notes that 57 percent of alumni credit the club with saving their lives and 61 percent experienced increased commitment to education, with the organization renaming to Metropolitan Jackson Boys and Girls Club in 1972 and opening the Calvin L. Walker Club in 1985.

Directs distribution of resolution copies to Mr. Calvin Walker and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
