Commends and congratulates the Pelahatchie High School Lady Chiefs Basketball Team for winning the 2014-2015 Mississippi High School Activities Association Class 1A State Championship with a record of 27 wins and 5 losses.

Recognizes the team's first state championship since 1969, achieved by defeating Ashland High School 54-48 on March 13, 2015.

Honors Head Coach Pearlene Fairley (District Coach of the Year), Assistant Coaches Kamelia Green and Duncan Tucker, and team managers for their leadership and development of the winning team.

Recognizes individual achievements including Brittany Thompson (District Player of the Year), Janae Collier (State Championship Player of the Game), and Alexis Hobson (Class 1A Scholar Athlete of the Year).

Directs copies of the resolution be furnished to Pelahatchie High School, the head coach, assistant coaches, and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
