Commends Thomas F. Gerrets, Sr., of Madison, Mississippi, for his distinguished career and meritorious service to the state and community.

Recognizes his professional accomplishments including service as a U.S. Air Force Captain (1967-1971), 30-year career at Entergy Corporation in nuclear engineering and management (1971-2001), and current work as business manager for his son's endodontic practice.

Honors his extensive volunteer service as Facilities Chair of St. Joseph Catholic School, board member of Holy Cross School and United Way of the Capital Area, and member of multiple diocesan and national Catholic leadership councils.

Notes his receipt of the Bishop Joseph Chance Award (given to only 22 others) recognizing his and his wife's dedicated service to the Catholic faith.

Directs that copies of the resolution be provided to Mr. Gerrets and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
