Commends and congratulates Briar Jonnee Blakley, age 20, of Shuqualak, Mississippi, for her success as a contestant on NBC's "The Voice" during its eighth season.

Recognizes Blakley's musical development from age five when she led church choir songs, and her training at the Mississippi School of the Performing Arts in Brookhaven.

Notes that Blakley was selected for Pharrell Williams' team after passing a rigorous audition process and became one of the top 48 contestants, performing before a national television audience.

Acknowledges Blakley's educational background including attendance at Reed Elementary School and the University of Southern Mississippi, where she majored in broadcast journalism and media production.
