Covered every U.S. president since Richard Nixon and every Mississippi governor since John Bell Williams, as well as major news events including Hurricane Camille and international stories in Bosnia

Inducted into the Mississippi Broadcasters Hall of Fame in recognition of his distinguished broadcasting career

Witnessed the evolution of news technology from film to video to digital cameras throughout his half-century career at the station
