Commends DeSoto Central High School "Jaguars" baseball team for receiving an invitation to the USA Baseball National High School Invitational Tournament in Cary, North Carolina, scheduled for March 25-28, 2015.

Recognizes this as the first time a Mississippi team has been selected to participate in the prestigious national high school tournament, which has been compared to the College World Series and MLB World Series.

Notes the team finished the 2014 season with a 29-9 record and placed as state runner-up in Class 6A competition.

Acknowledges Head Coach Mark Monaghan and assistant coaches Jason Miller, Jeff Walls, Jeremy Simpson, and Matthew Morgan for building a legacy of superior play and sportsmanship.

Directs that copies of the resolution be furnished to Coach Monaghan and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
