Commemorates the life and legacy of pianist George Harold Reese of Meridian, Mississippi, who passed away on January 27, 2015.

Reese had a concert piano career spanning more than 50 years, performing in prestigious venues worldwide including London, Paris, Rome, New York, and multiple cities across Europe.

Reese was born February 2, 1932, served in the United States Army, and earned a degree in music with a piano major from the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago.

Maintained ties to Meridian throughout his career by teaching private piano lessons and serving as a music teacher in public schools, and served as organist at New Hope Baptist Church.

Survived by his son Otis Artis, brother Frank Reese, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
