Commends Representative Linda Whittington for nine years of service in the Mississippi House of Representatives representing House District 34 (portions of Carroll, Holmes, Humphreys, Leflore, Montgomery and Washington Counties).

Recognizes her background as Executive Director of Communities in Schools nonprofit organization and her election in 2006 special election to fill the seat vacated by May Ringold Whittington.

Acknowledges her service on committees including Constitution (Chairman), Tourism (Vice Chairman), Agriculture, Corrections, Education, Forestry, Juvenile Justice, Public Health and Human Services, and Youth and Family Affairs.

Notes her community involvement with the Leflore Humane Society Board, Greenwood-Leflore County Chamber of Commerce, Greenville Chamber of Commerce, and economic development associations in Carroll and Montgomery Counties.

Expresses House appreciation for her dedicated service and personal sacrifices upon her retirement from the legislature as she pursues countywide office.
