Amends Section 97-3-7 to revise the list of protected personnel for enhanced assault penalties under simple and aggravated assault statutes.

Replaces "youth detention center personnel; training school juvenile care worker" with "Division of Youth Services personnel" in the list of protected individuals.

Simple assault on protected persons increases penalty from $500 fine or 6 months jail to $1,000 fine or up to 5 years imprisonment.

Aggravated assault on protected persons increases penalty from up to 20 years to $5,000 fine or up to 30 years imprisonment.

Effective July 1, 2015.
