Amends Section 37-147-11 of Mississippi Code to expand eligibility for financial interest exemptions under the Mississippi University Research Authority Act to include university officers or employees who make valuable contributions to commercialization of university technologies.

Changes language from "technology developed by the officer or employee" to "technological innovations" to broaden the scope of qualifying contributions.

Maintains existing restrictions prohibiting chief executive officers, chief financial officers, chief research officers, and authority members from obtaining such exemptions.

Retains all existing approval requirements including written approval from university chief executive officer and authority authorization based on demonstrated economic benefit and lack of adverse effects on university operations.

Takes effect July 1, 2015.
