Amends Section 25-1-87 of the Mississippi Code to allow the Commissioner of the Department of Corrections to request unmarked vehicles when identifying marks would hinder official investigations.

Adds the Commissioner of the Department of Corrections to the list of officials authorized to request unmarked vehicles from the Governor, joining other state officials like the State Adjutant General and Commissioner of Public Safety.

Written requests for unmarked vehicles must include the manufacturer's serial number, state inventory number, and explanation of why the vehicle should be exempt from marking requirements.

The Governor must provide copies of unmarked vehicle authorization to the State Department of Audit, which remains responsible for examining vehicles and reporting violations.

Takes effect upon passage.
