Amends Section 41-33-3 of Mississippi Code to revise procedures for compelling active tuberculosis patients who refuse treatment to appropriate facilities.

Allows commitment of non-compliant tuberculosis patients to county jails, other county jails deemed appropriate, or Mississippi Department of Corrections facilities capable of providing adequate housing and services.

Changes authority from county health officer to District or State Health Officer for specifying minimum precautions and determining when patients no longer pose a public health threat.

Requires Mississippi Department of Corrections and State Department of Health to maintain a contractual agreement ensuring sufficient housing capacity for tuberculosis patients who refuse treatment.

Effective date: July 1, 2015.
