Voids all Mississippi State Board of Education actions to adopt or implement Common Core State Standards and requires removal of Common Core copyright and references from Mississippi College and Career Ready Standards

Mandates immediate withdrawal from the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (P.A.R.C.C.) consortium, with all statewide K-12 tests to be solely owned and controlled by the state

Prohibits adoption of any curriculum standards developed outside Mississippi (including Next Generation Science Standards, National Curriculum Standards for Social Studies, AP U.S. History, etc.) without public hearings in each congressional district, a one-year comment period, and legislative approval

Establishes a Governor-appointed Curriculum Content Standards Advisory Council with subcommittees for mathematics, history/social studies, science, and English Language Arts to review and revise standards based on pre-Common Core standards from states like California, Massachusetts, Indiana, and Texas

Restricts sharing of personally identifiable student and teacher information with entities outside Mississippi and prohibits using federal funds to track students beyond K-12 education or for compiling non-academic personal information
