Exempts cemetery activities from excavation notice requirements if the cemetery began or expanded after July 1, 2015, and initial notice was provided to Mississippi 811, Inc. with confirmation of no underground facilities.

Changes the validity period of markings and locate requests from ten (10) working days to fourteen (14) calendar days, measured from when the request is processed or entered into the system by Mississippi 811, Inc.

Increases the time allowed for operators to mark underground utility lines when excavation is required to locate them from two (2) to four (4) working days from the original notice date.

Modifies the definition of "working day" to begin when a locate request is processed or entered into the system, rather than upon receipt of notification.

Requires operators to provide Mississippi 811, Inc. with digital maps, paper maps, or geospatial information showing underground facility locations instead of township, range, section, and quarter section data.
