Pearl "Pirates" Boys Soccer Team won the MHSAA Class 5A State Championship on February 7, 2015, defeating Germantown 2-0 for their record 10th state title.

Hunter Cagle scored in the first half and Paxton Bounds added a second goal 14 minutes into the second half to secure the victory.

Under veteran Coach Chris Rash, the Pirates finished the season with a record of 19-3-3.

Goalie Nick Lawrence made a crucial save on a Pascagoula penalty kick in the semifinals, which bounced off the crossbar as time expired, preserving a 2-1 semifinal win.

The resolution commends and congratulates the team, coaches, and parents, and directs the resolution be presented to Coach Rash and Pearl High School Principal Dr. Lundy Brantley.
