Recognizes Mr. Joseph Mickel of Jackson, Mississippi, on his 100th birthday on February 25, 2015.

Mr. Mickel was born February 25, 1915, served in the U.S. Army from 1942-1945, and worked at Coca-Cola Company from June 1947 until his retirement in March 1980.

He was married to Eula Mickel for 61 years and has six children, nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Mickel held leadership positions including Head Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent at Mt. Olive Church and remained active in his faith throughout his lifetime.

His 100-year lifespan has encompassed the administrations of 17 U.S. Presidents and 26 Mississippi Governors, including major historic events such as the Wright Brothers' flight and the moon landing.
