Marshall Academy "Patriots" basketball team won the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools (MAIS) Overall Championship with a 44-43 overtime victory over Madison-Ridgeland Academy on February 28, 2015, at Mississippi College.

Senior guard Dakota Dailey led the team with 22 points in the championship game and scored 42 points in the Class A State Championship game on February 21, a 72-60 victory over University Academy of Central Louisiana.

Marshall Academy completed its fourth State Championship in five seasons, defeating Greenville Christian 55-37 in the semifinals and Veritas School 64-48 in the opening round.

Resolution commends Head Coach Craig Dailey, the entire Patriots roster, and coaching staff for their achievement and the honor brought to their school and community.

Resolution directs that the commendation be presented to Coach Dailey and the Marshall Academy Board of Trustees and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
