Commends and congratulates Tolar Purvis, an 18-year-old senior at Jackson Preparatory School in Madison, Mississippi, for receiving the 2015 Prudential Spirit of Community Award as a Distinguished Finalist.

Recognizes Purvis's founding of "Project Eagle's Nest," which has raised $30,000 since 2013 through donations and fundraising events to support construction of a new floor and garage for an orphanage in Guatemala.

Notes the Prudential Spirit of Community Award is in its 20th year and is presented by Prudential Financial in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals to honor young volunteers demonstrating extraordinary community service.

Extends best wishes to Purvis and his family for success in his future endeavors and directs that this resolution be presented to him and his family and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
