Commends Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, on its "2015 AKA Day at the Mississippi State Capitol" held March 26, 2015, with over 100 members attending to promote advocacy for civil rights, social justice, and family strengthening.

Recognizes Alpha Kappa Alpha as the first Greek-letter sorority for college-educated African-American women, founded in 1908 at Howard University, with over 280,000 members in 980+ chapters internationally and 30 chapters active in Mississippi.

Acknowledges the sorority's service initiatives under the 2014-2018 program "Launching New Dimensions of Service," including five targets: Educational Enrichment, Health Promotion, Family Strengthening, Environmental Ownership, and the UN's Global Classrooms Project and Africare.

Notes that the South Eastern Region of Alpha Kappa Alpha comprises nearly 6,000 members in 101 chapters dedicating over 1.5 million community service hours annually and identifies seven Alpha Kappa Alpha members serving in the Mississippi Legislature.

Directs that the resolution be presented to the sorority's leadership and Mississippi chapter presidents.
