Designates April 13-17, 2015, as "Undergraduate Research Week in Mississippi" to recognize the value of independent scholarly activity at state universities.

Acknowledges that undergraduate research increases degree completion rates and provides students with professional development, career planning skills, and enhanced résumés and graduate school applications.

Notes that students in STEM fields and underrepresented groups particularly benefit from independent research and creative activity.

Directs the resolution to be presented to Dr. Rodney Bennett, President of the University of Southern Mississippi, and forwarded to the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning for distribution.
