Amends Section 49-27-29 of the Mississippi Code to establish expiration dates for coastal wetlands permits issued by the Commission on Marine Resources.

Permits for coastal wetlands activities are valid for a maximum of five (5) years from the date of issuance.

Permits for maintenance dredging of existing channels maintained by local governmental entities are valid for a maximum of ten (10) years.

Commission may issue one extension not exceeding two (2) years in length if the applicant requests it in writing before the permit's expiration date.

Effective date is July 1, 2016.
