Amends Mississippi Code Section 63-5-33 to authorize weight tolerance for vehicles hauling animal feed to a farm.

Vehicles hauling animal feed to a farm are allowed a gross weight tolerance of up to 5% above authorized tandem or axle weight, with a maximum gross vehicle weight not exceeding 80,000 pounds plus 2% tolerance.

Exempts vehicles hauling animal feed to a farm from the requirement that tolerance not be allowed at loading points with available scales for individual axle weighing.

The tolerance applies only to operations within a 100-mile radius and does not apply on federal interstate highways or where specifically prohibited by the Transportation Commission, county boards of supervisors, or municipal authorities.

Effective date: July 1, 2016.
