Amends Section 71-3-47 of the Mississippi Code to require the Workers' Compensation Commission to order an emergency hearing within 20 days upon request or petition of either party.

Adds a new requirement that emergency hearings must be scheduled within twenty (20) days of the request or petition being filed.

Maintains existing commission authority to determine all questions relating to payment of workers' compensation claims and conduct investigations as deemed necessary.

Takes effect on July 1, 2016.
