Amends Section 41-9-69 of the Mississippi Code to delete the requirement that hospitals notify patients or their representatives before retiring X-ray film or graphic data.

Removes the requirement that hospitals obtain written consent from patients or send certified notice letters before retiring X-rays or graphic data.

Eliminates the 60-day period during which patients could request that hospitals maintain X-ray film or graphic data for the full hospital record retention period.

Allows hospitals to retire X-ray film and graphic data four years after exposure or creation if radiologist findings are retained for the standard hospital record retention period.

Takes effect July 1, 2016.
