Amends Mississippi Code Section 83-9-3 to require commercial insurers to honor an insured's assignment of benefits to licensed health care providers under health and accident insurance policies.

Extends assignment of benefits requirements to automobile insurance policies covering health and accident insurance.

Changes the duration that insurers must honor assignments from indefinite (or until revocation) to a fixed period of one (1) year from the initial date of assignment.

Prohibits insurance policy provisions that limit or restrict an insured's ability to assign benefits to health care providers, with violations declared invalid.

Takes effect July 1, 2016.
