Requires all Mississippi school districts to provide every K-12 student with an electronic learning device for educational purposes

State Department of Education must select the specific electronic learning device after reviewing options for teaching and learning effectiveness

Authorizes purchase of the devices using funds from the State Textbook Fund of Mississippi

Amends Section 37-43-41 of Mississippi Code to explicitly allow textbook fund monies to be used for educational learning devices

Effective date of July 1, 2016
