Authorizes courts to appoint a guardian or conservator for a single transaction without establishing a full guardianship or conservatorship if a basis for appointment is established.

Allows courts to authorize, direct, or ratify transactions necessary for security, service, care arrangements, or property/business affairs if determined to be in the protected person's best interest.

Requires courts to consider creditors' and dependents' interests before approving transactions and may appoint a special conservator to assist with accomplishing the authorized transaction.

Amends Mississippi Code sections 93-13-38 and 93-13-259 to clarify that guardians and conservators may be appointed for single transactions under these provisions.

Takes effect July 1, 2016.
