Extends the repeal date of the tourism and industry promotion tax in Batesville, Mississippi from July 1, 2017 to July 1, 2023.

Tax applies to hotel and motel room rentals (up to 3% of gross proceeds) and restaurant sales (up to 3% of gross proceeds) within the city.

Requires the governing authorities to adopt a resolution declaring intention to continue the tax and publish notice for at least three consecutive weeks; allows qualified electors to file a written protest triggering an election if 20% or 1,500 of them (whichever is less) object.

Tax revenues, minus 3% retained by the Department of Revenue for collection costs, must be dedicated solely to tourism, industry, and economic development programs and must be accounted for separately from general city funds with annual independent audits.

Establishes the City of Batesville and South Panola Area Chamber of Commerce Tourism and Industrial Development Committee to oversee promotion of tourism and economic development.
