Authorizes reimbursement for each component of National Board Certification for teachers, up to $500 per component and not exceeding four (4) components total.

Establishes a salary supplement pilot program providing $4,000 annually to National Board Certified Teachers employed in public school districts located in thirteen specified counties: Claiborne, Adams, Jefferson, Wilkinson, Amite, Bolivar, Coahoma, Leflore, Quitman, Sharkey, Issaquena, Sunflower, and Washington.

National Board Certified Teachers in the designated counties receive the $4,000 supplement in addition to the existing $6,000 supplement authorized under current law.

Teachers assigned less than full-time or full-year to the designated counties receive the supplement on a prorated basis, calculated based on their assignment status as of June 15th.

Effective July 1, 2016.
