Increases annual salaries for state elected officials except the Governor effective until January 1, 2020, including Attorney General ($175,000), Secretary of State ($150,000), State Treasurer ($150,000), State Auditor ($150,000), Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce ($150,000), Commissioner of Insurance ($150,000), Transportation Commissioners ($110,000), and Public Service Commissioners ($110,000).

Increases the Governor's salary from $122,160 to $200,000 effective January 1, 2020.

Brings forward Section 25-3-39 regarding salary caps for state executive branch employees, limiting most public officers to no more than 150% of the Governor's salary, with exemptions for higher education employees, community college employees, and certain licensed professionals.

Effective date is July 1, 2016.
