Allows parole-eligible inmates convicted on or after July 1, 2014, to be released on their parole eligibility date without a parole board hearing if five conditions are met.

Required conditions for automatic release include: completion of parole case plan requirements, no victim hearing request, no serious or major violation within 6 months, agreement to supervision conditions, and an approved discharge plan.

Department must notify the parole board at least 30 days before parole eligibility date regarding inmate's compliance with case plan; hearing required if case plan requirements not met or information is insufficient.

Parole board hearing is mandatory if a victim requests one following notification of release date, or if a law enforcement official from the inmate's destination community requests a hearing with documented public safety concerns.

Effective July 1, 2016.
