Increase the annual deposit to the Municipal Fire Protection Fund from $4,850,000 to $6,350,000 from insurance premium tax revenue on fire insurance policies.

Increase the annual deposit to the County Volunteer Fire Department Fund from $4,850,000 to $6,350,000 from insurance premium tax revenue.

Municipal Fire Protection Fund distributions remain based on population using the most recent federal census, with $250,000 annually designated for training and building code compliance.

County Volunteer Fire Department Fund distributions remain based on county population (excluding municipal residents), with $250,000 annually designated for training and windstorm mitigation programs.

Add new provision allowing county-owned fire equipment and property to be used by any legally created fire department at the option of the board of supervisors.

Effective July 1, 2016.
