Authorizes Mississippi residents to purchase distinctive motor vehicle license tags identifying them as supporters of Mississippi Public Broadcasting upon payment of an additional $30.00 annual fee.

County tax collectors retain $2.00 from each fee and deposit it into the county general fund; remaining fees are remitted monthly to the Department of Revenue.

From each $30.00 fee collected, distributions are made as follows: $24.00 to Mississippi Public Broadcasting, $1.00 to the Mississippi Burn Care Fund, $2.00 to the State Highway Fund, and $1.00 to a special fund under Section 27-19-44.2.

Replacement tags for lost or stolen distinctive tags cost $10.00, with county tax collectors retaining 5% and the remainder distributed according to the same allocation formula.

Effective July 1, 2016.
