Creates an exception from the 400-foot distance restriction (or 100 feet in commercial/business zones) that normally applies to alcohol sales near churches, schools, kindergartens, and funeral homes.

The exception applies to cultural and educational centers that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places, operated by nonprofit organizations, and located in qualified resort areas.

Allows such centers to sell or store alcoholic beverages without complying with standard distance restrictions that would otherwise prohibit the activity.

Becomes effective July 1, 2016.
