• Extends the repeal date of the Mississippi Pharmacy Practice Act from July 1, 2016 to July 1, 2020, reenacting sections 73-21-71 through 73-21-129

• Requires the Mississippi Pharmacists Association to provide ballots to all licensed pharmacists when conducting elections to narrow candidates for board nominations

• Authorizes the State Board of Pharmacy to impose monetary penalties on any person who misuses the Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) in any manner other than intended, with penalties up to $50,000

• Requires pharmacists licensed by the Mississippi Board of Pharmacy to be registered users of the PMP, with failure to register subject to disciplinary action

• Allows the PMP to establish cost recovery fees and charges for administration, maintenance, operation, and provision of statistical data to agencies and institutions
