Authorizes the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) Office of Law Enforcement to use radar speed detection equipment on commercial motor vehicles that they are authorized to inspect.

Grants the Mississippi Transportation Commission authority to enforce speed limit laws on commercial vehicles in addition to their existing inspection duties.

Authorizes MDOT law enforcement officers to enforce speed limit laws on commercial vehicles they are authorized to inspect under Section 77-7-16(2).

Requires MDOT law enforcement officers to comply with the Uniform Traffic Ticket Law when issuing speeding tickets to commercial vehicle operators, including receipt of ticket books from the Commissioner of Public Safety.

Effective date: July 1, 2016.
