• Establishes Mississippi state minimum wage at $9.00 per hour, effective July 1, 2016.

• Sets minimum wage for tipped employees at $3.62 per hour if they customarily receive more than $30 per month in tips.

• Requires overtime compensation at 1.5 times the regular rate for employees earning $455 or less per week, and mandates overtime pay for manual laborers, law enforcement, and certain other employee categories regardless of salary.
